These are a retainer designed dedicated for IDPA* (International Defensive Pistol Association) competition and utilizing the innovative Quick Cap Baseplate system for the 2011* magazines. These will fit most 126mm magazine tube brands, but may need some slight fitting on the tabs at the bottom of your magazine tube if you are using Prodigy* or MBX* magazine tubes.

These are designed in two different versions to fit in the IDPA measuring box. The Low Profile version is for guns with Iron Sights and for anyone that is worried about making sure their gun is well within the box limits. The Mid version is for anyone using a red dot optic where the gun can effectively move higher up in the box as the optic moves into the cut out at the top of the box.
We also sell boxes to check your gun is withing the allowable dimensions but you should always check at your local club or before you start any match with an equipment check before the match begins.
If you have a larger magwell such as the one from EGW* then you will need the mid option for the bottom to be below the magwell.
If you want magazine baseplates for IPSC* or USPSA* we have a different design optimized for ISPC or USPSA to fit the magazine gauge
We have two options, the low profile and the mid. Both options will fit any 2011 magazine 126, 140, or 170mm but they will only fit in the limits box when used on the 126mm length magazine tubes.
These retainers can work with any of our IDPA version blocks. We have smaller ones to fit in the weight limits and larger ones that may be legal to block a magazine to 10 or 15 rounds depending on your state and your IDPA Area Controller's interpretation of the rules. Check before using in any Tier 2 or above competition. If you need lighter magazine blocks to make the weight limits please check with us about our 3D printed lightweight blocks that offer the same functionality but a much reduced weight compared to the metal blocks.
Depending on the gun/magwell and magazine manufacturer some slight fitting may be needed.
For a functional baseplate system you need both a retainer and a spring plate/block (sold separately and as a combo).
This patent pending system is a revolution in baseplate systems that allow super easy cleaning and changing of magazine capacity based upon the users needs.
We make this component available on it's own to allow color combinations or part replacements or options for quickly swapping your magazine from carry to competition/range use.
